WHERE ROYAL HISTORY ENDED IN ASH
The Burned Castle
A ruin that outlived the castle built to replace it.
The Old Royal Residence
Before the construction of the new castle, this place served as the royal residence of the White Nation. Its walls once stood at the heart of the capital, bearing witness to the kingdom's royal history.
That history changed during an assassination attack against the King and Queen. The old castle was destroyed in the incident, leaving behind ruins that could not simply be erased by rebuilding.
A Scar Upon the Capital
A new castle eventually rose to take the place of the old royal residence. Yet the remains of the Burned Castle still stand within the capital.
Its broken stone and blackened walls remain a surviving fragment of the kingdom's past.
Some ruins remain long after the need to rebuild has passed.
